The Michael Jackson movie can’t avoid the King of Pop’s inherent creepiness

By scrubbing the Michael Jackson story of its darker context – from his allegations of violent abuse by his father to his early encounters with sex – the controversial new biopic instead renders Jackson a strange, eerie kook. It’s an ironic result for an overly sanitised movie designed to clean up his image, writes Adam White
